Claiming Your New SEPLL Account

SEPLL uses the following format for email addresses:

[email protected]

Once you've been assigned a SEPLL account, you will receive an email from The Google Workspace Team with the following the subject line:

You have a new Google account for Southeast Portland Little League

If you don't see this message in your inbox, check your Spam folder. Please note, this setup email will expire in 48 hours, so please contact Doug Lee if you need your password reset.

The email will include your SEPLL username; after you click the Sign In and Accept buttons, you will be prompted to create a new password for your account.

Google Drive

SEPLL files are stored in Google Drive. You are welcome to create any folders, documents, or sheets that help you perform or document your role. You may see folders that have been created in the past that relate to your role. You should review these items and adjust/update accordingly. Feel free to make a folder your own.

When you are creating documents, sheets, or folders that contain information that the team needs access to, please create (or move) them in the appropriate Shared Drive. If you find that you have to share a file with others, it is because that file is in your My Drive. It’s easiest to move the file by using the move icon to the right of the file name when you are viewing the file. 

In My Drive, you should have only files that are private to you, such as your drafts/notes while preparing something more polished. Anything you share with the board or would pass along to a successor should be in a Shared Drive.

Adding Your SEPLL Account to Your Mobile Device

After you've claimed your account, you'll want to add it to your phone or tablet.

We recommend using the Gmail app (instructions) to enable all features of your new account. One particularly helpful option is to use the Gmail app specifically for SEPLL emails.

If you prefer to use the Mail app on your iPhone, please follow these instructions.

Sending Email From Your Committee Address

At times, SEPLL volunteers will want to send emails out from their office or committee's address. This is especially the case when the volunteer wants their committee colleague to receive any replies.

Example: Fields Manager sends email from [email protected] to [email protected]. In turn, Softball VP replies to fields@ and email is received by all members of Fields committee.

This can be achieved by doing the following:

  1. Go to Gmail and log in with your SEPLL credentials.

  2. Click the gear icon in the upper-right and then click See all settings.

  3. Click Accounts and click Add another email address in the “Send mail as” section.

  4. Enter the email address of the Google Group, uncheck Treat as an alias, and click Next step.

  5. Click the Send Verification button to receive an email confirmation. This message will go to the Google Group.

  6. Close the window.

  7. Return to your Google Group (or your Gmail inbox if your Google Group subscription is set to email you) to click the verification link. Click the Confirm button when prompted.

  8. Now when sending new messages from your Gmail account, you can select either your Gmail account or your Google Group email address as the sender in the From field.

In order to send messages from your committee address while using your mobile device, we recommend downloading the Gmail app (iOS, Google). This function is not available from within an iPhone's standard Mail app.
