Matt Duckworth, President
Little League was a family affair. I played baseball first with Urbandale Little League and then with Johnston Little League in Iowa from the ages 8 to 15. My sister played softball, my brothers played baseball, my dad coached, and for three years my mom served as president. Perhaps the best summer of my life was spent at Mickey Owen Baseball School in Missouri, where at 16 I spent 11 weeks playing baseball 8 hours a day. In high school I was a three-year starter at second base. I returned to Little League in college to umpire for Palo Alto Little League in California. In 2010 I began coaching my son's Tee Ball team with Powell Little League. Since then I have volunteered with Powell and Southeast Portland Little Leagues as a manager in the Farm, Minor and Major baseball divisions, Baseball and Softball Player Agent, Umpire-in-Chief, and Coaches Coordinator. I'm excited to continue volunteering with Southeast Portland Little League as its president.

Jeff Keller, Baseball Vice President
I grew up playing Little League baseball here in Portland for Rose City Little League starting at age 8.  I still recall my team sponsor SJ Pounder Realty.  Little League team sponsorship has always been a great place for the Real Estate industry to get their message out to the local community.   It seemed like everyone I knew played Little League in my neighborhood.  I have great memories of those years in RCLL then went on to Madison Babe Ruth from 13-15 which allowed me the opportunity to play for Madison High School.  I was fortunate to letter in baseball at Madison playing varsity both by junior and senior years.  The 80's were a great decade for Madison Baseball winning City Championships six years in a row and being the State of Oregon's top ranked team in 85 and 86.  We did not win a state title either of those years which was a huge disappointment for our team but taught all of us a lot about the reality of team sports.  I have two children in SEPLL one baseball player that has been in the league several years and a softball player in her second year.  I have been coaching and/or on the SEPLL Board for the past four years.  My wife Lisa is also on the SEPLL Board as Sponsorship Manager.  We continue to enjoy being involved with SEPLL getting to know all the dedicated volunteers that make the league what it is today.

 Rachel Ray, 2018 Treasurer
As a family with two Little League players, we've greatly benefited from the dedication of parent volunteers. I appreciate seeing how much work goes on behind the scenes to culminate in those wonderful moments we get to cheer from the bleachers. A few years ago I helped coach t-ball and last year I helped with the concessions. This year I'm looking forward to being the board secretary.

Lisa Keller, 2018 Sponsorship Coordinator

I am excited to work on developing Sponsorships for SEPLL in the role of Sponsorship Coordinator.  2017 is my first year on the board. My children have played in the league for several years and have enjoyed their experiences tremendously. This year my son will play Major Baseball and my daughter will play Farm Softball. I look forward to another exciting season!

David Munro, UIC
I played baseball throughout elementary school, and was reminded of what a wonderful game it is when my two sons started playing through SEPLL. Seeing the game through their eyes and observing the benefits baseball provides to the players and the community makes me want to do whatever I can to promote the opportunity for all kids to play this game. Therefore, I'm happy to serve as the SEPLL Safety Officer.
  Eric Herr, 2016 Fields Manager
My baseball career began and ended after playing several seasons with Burlingame Little League in southwest Portland. Baseball was not an offered sport at the school I attended so I transferred my passion from the baseball diamond to the soccer pitch. After many years away from baseball, I can now be found on most Saturdays cheering for whichever team my son is playing and keeping the occasional stats book. I am excited to be joining the SEPLL Board this season as the Fields Manager. We have a half dozen fields in southeast Portland that we maintain in cooperation with the Portland Parks Department. I look forward to working with the board, team managers, players and families to provide our boys and girls with clean, safe and well maintained fields.
Cynthia Carrell, 2016 Co-Treasurer
I currently serve as Co-Treasurer with Janelle. After my youngest had played with Powell for 5 years, I figured it was time for my family to give our time back to the league. I've served on the Board for 4 years, serving as Secretary then Treasurer. My goal at SEPLL to use good financial management practices so the League has stable resources to create great experiences for our players. My past experience is Treasurer for the La Leche League and Sunnyside Environmental School PTA. I am currently Treasurer for the Cleveland High School PTA. I was a founding member of Hawthorne Family Playschool, where a learned a lot about small nonprofits.  Outside of Little League. I volunteer as a Co-Coach for the Cleveland Robotics team. My professional background is in public relations and event management. My two sons have played with Powell and SEPLL, in total we'd benefit from baseball for over 10 years. The SEPLL books are always available for review. Feel free to email me questions.
